On November 16, RGI’s Jefferson County Stone (Louisville, KY) hosted Kentucky House Minority Leader Representative Joni Jenkins of Louisville and several members of the Kentucky Highway Industries (KHI) political action committee.
KHI is comprised of the Kentucky Crushed Stone Association (KCSA), the Plant Asphalt Industries of Kentucky (PAIKY) and the Kentucky Association of Highway Contractors (KAHC).
Road funding was the top priority topic of the meeting, and workforce development was also discussed at length. After meeting, the group took a tour of the Jefferson County Stone’s underground mine.
