In community relations, Tennessee

By: Dwayne Gabbard, Superintendent

Special recognition goes out to the Hunt-Rogers team who participated in a mass donation to community organizations over the past week. The organizations were incredibly appreciative and noted the incredible impact that HR has on their region.

A big shout-out to Charlene Lewis for doing much of the legwork in setting this up and handling all the distribution!

A bit about the five organizations who received donations:

SnackPacks for Kids Fighting Childhood Hunger Samaritan Community Center (SCC)
Packs distributes 6,000 snackpacks each week to 170 schools in four counties throughout Northwest Arkansas during the regular school year. Their purpose in distributing snackpacks is to provide some weekend food for children who are at-risk for food insecurity.

Essentials Outreach

Every month Essentials Outreach serves over 345 individuals and impacts 100 families with their Outreaches. They seek to meet the need for hygiene products in rural communities in Northwest Arkansas. Their four designated distribution locations are in rural Northwest Arkansas communities with a high level of need.

Children’s Advocacy Center

The Children’s Advocacy Center is committed to using a multi-disciplinary team approach to assist children who are victims of physical or sexual abuse, or who have witnessed acts of violence, as well as providing these services to people of any age with developmental disabilities. All services will be provided in a supportive environment by individuals trained in national best practices to optimize positive outcomes and reduce trauma.

Restoration Village

Restoration Village is Northwest Arkansas’ faith-based, long-term crisis shelter for women and children. They work to restore hope and break the cycle of abuse for women and children in crisis. To accomplish this, they provide safe shelter and life-changing services to our all their residents.
