ROGERS GROUP INC. WINS NATIONAL AWARD FOR QUALITY IN ASPHALT PAVING
GREENBELT, MD— The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) announced today that Rogers Group Inc. won a 2024 Quality in Construction Award for excellence in construction of an asphalt pavement. The company is being recognized during the association’s 70th Annual Meeting.
“The asphalt pavement industry is committed to building high-quality projects that deliver superior performance to the traveling public. All contractors’ projects earning a Quality in Construction award are measured against best practices designed to live up to that commitment,” said 2024 NAPA Chair Brady Meldrem. “Earning the Quality in Construction Award demonstrates that Rogers Group Inc. has met or exceeded these rigorous standards.”
Rogers Group Inc. won the award for the construction of the South Track at Flatrock Motorclub in Cumberland County, Tennessee. Paving challenges included 1,418-foot vertical elevation changes, 24 turns, and a challenging 19-degree banked turn. The 3.5-mile track consists of three asphalt courses, with the final two paved in echelon. The company incorporated reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) into the asphalt mixes, a sustainable paving practice that conserves
natural resources, cuts emissions, reduces landfill waste and improves pavement longevity. Rogers Group produced a safe, smooth, high-quality racetrack for the motor club.
