ROGERS GROUP INC. NAMED A FINALIST FOR NATIONAL AWARD FOR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Greenbelt, Md. — The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) announced that Rogers Group Inc., of Greer, South Carolina, is a finalist of the 2024 Community Involvement Award. The company received its award today at a ceremony during the association’s 70th Annual Meeting in Maui, Hawaii.

“NAPA members strive for excellence beyond constructing high-quality asphalt pavements. The Community Involvement Award recognizes a company’s commitment to operations that make them good contractors, good industry ambassadors, and good neighbors,” said 2024 NAPA Chairman Brady Meldrem.”

Rogers Group Inc. won the award for its Carolina SMA Community Involvement program. More than half of the company’s employees contributed 175 volunteer hours by participating in 18 community activities throughout the year. During Hurricane Helene, the company supported its community by providing water and baby supplies and donating $50,000 to relief efforts. They gave financial support to a fire department’s charity golf tournament, The company organized a successful food drive for Haven of Rest Ministry that collected more than 1,100 items to support community meals and resident needs.

To engage and support local education and counseling professionals, Rogers Group participated in career fairs at a community college and several high schools. Other educational programs included plant tours for high school students and presentations for county counselors to promote awareness of industry jobs. The company’s sponsorship helped a local elementary school enhance technology, library resources, extracurricular activities, and student wellness programs.

Rogers Group also provided financial support to BMW Pro Am Charities and other local groups, including an elementary school’s banner program and a high school’s band program.
