ROGERS GROUP INC. WINS NATIONAL AWARD FOR QUALITY IN ASPHALT PAVING
GREENBELT, MD— The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) announced today that Rogers Group Inc. won a 2024 Quality in Construction Award for excellence in construction of an asphalt pavement. The company is being recognized during the association’s 70th Annual Meeting.
“The asphalt pavement industry is committed to building high-quality projects that deliver superior performance to the traveling public. All contractors’ projects earning a Quality in Construction award are measured against best practices designed to live up to that commitment,” said 2024 NAPA Chair Brady Meldrem. “Earning the Quality in Construction Award demonstrates that Rogers Group Inc. has met or exceeded these rigorous standards.”
Rogers Group Inc. won the award for the reconstruction of the landing zone at Camp Robinson Airforce Base in Jacksonville, Arkansas. After filling an undercut area with 6 feet of engineered fill, the company paved the road in two asphalt lifts. It paved all the mainline areas in echelon, running pavers in tandem to eliminate longitudinal joints. Rogers Group utilized 3D Paving
technology on this project, incorporating sensors and controls to ensure accuracy and enhancing grade control through the use of robotics. Through these innovative techniques, Rogers Group produced a very smooth, high-quality asphalt pavement for the Airforce Base.
