ROGERS GROUP INC. WINS NATIONAL AWARD FOR QUALITY IN ASPHALT PAVING
GREENBELT, MD— The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) announced today that Rogers Group Inc. won a 2024 Quality in Construction Award for excellence in construction of an asphalt pavement. The company is being recognized during the association’s 70th Annual Meeting.
“The asphalt pavement industry is committed to building high-quality projects that deliver superior performance to the traveling public. All contractors’ projects earning a Quality in Construction award are measured against best practices designed to live up to that commitment,” said 2024 NAPA Chair Brady Meldrem. “Earning the Quality in Construction Award demonstrates that Rogers Group Inc. has met or exceeded these rigorous standards.”
Rogers Group Inc. won the award for its work on 4.8 miles of SR 184 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The company milled the road and placed an overlay on it, using asphalt mixes that incorporated reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and steel slag. These are sustainable paving practices that conserve natural resources, cut emissions, reduce landfill waste and improve pavement longevity. The company followed best practices for milling, tacking and paving to ensure a longlasting roadway. Working during the day while maintaining traffic, Rogers Group produced a smooth, high-quality asphalt pavement for area motorists.
