Largest privately owned construction-aggregates company in U.S. expands operations into Eastern Kentucky
NASHVILLE, TN – Rogers Group, Inc. (RGI), the largest privately held construction aggregates company in the United States, has expanded its presence in Eastern Kentucky with the acquisition of Albany Quarry, Albany Asphalt, and Jamestown Stone (TN). This strategic move strengthens RGI’s footprint in Kentucky, enhancing its ability to serve local communities with high-quality construction materials.
The three acquired companies collectively employed approximately 35 individuals, the majority of whom have transitioned into key roles within RGI, ensuring continuity and expertise within the organization.
“The acquisition of Albany Quarry, Albany Asphalt, and Jamestown Stone marks a significant milestone for Rogers Group as we continue to grow and serve more communities in Kentucky and beyond,” said RGI Interim President and CEO Jimmy Patton. “We look forward to building on the strong foundation established by these companies and integrating their talented teams into the RGI family.”
Albany Quarry was founded in 2010 when Wallace Carter and his partners purchased a 400-acre tract known as Huddleston Mountain. Overcoming infrastructure challenges and industry competition, the team transformed Albany Quarry from a startup with portable equipment into a state-of-the-art operation with a dedicated customer base and workforce.
With this expansion, Rogers Group reaffirms its commitment to delivering superior products, outstanding service, and job creation in the communities it serves.
